Josh Brown, RVT, Practice Manager, with Dana Niguel since 2004
Josh is Dana Niguel Veterinary Hospital’s practice manager and head technician. He has worked with animals for over 20 years. Josh is very proud of his work and his team at Dana Niguel. He has many duties at the hospital, ranging from making sure the facilities are immaculate to assisting in surgery. His skills as a technician are a great asset, especially because of his previous experience working at a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital and assisting in orthopedic surgeries. Outside of work, Josh spends time at home with his wife and son. His weekends include relaxing at the beach and watching his son participate in BMX contests and helping him develop his art as an aspiring photographer. Josh has two dogs, a mixed breed named Blue and a Chihuahua named Layla, and a black cat named Welsley.
Rachel Woolsey, RVT, with Dana Niguel since 2007
Rachel is a registered veterinary technician, and she has had a big heart for animals her whole life. She took the initiative of starting and running Dana Niguel’s rescue operation, and as this suggests, she is a huge advocate for homeless and elderly animals. Rachel is also a long-time vegetarian. On the weekends, she enjoys taking her White Shepherd mix, Charlie, and Chihuahua mix, Meg, to the beach and watching movies.
Shannon Crotty, with Dana Niguel since 2005
Shannon is a certified veterinary assistant. She has a special place in her heart for Australian shepherds and orphaned kittens. She currently lives in San Juan Capistrano with her boyfriend and their “zoo.” On any given day, you can find her walking her three dogs, Meadow, Tyler and Misty, or taking a nap with her two cats, Cochese and Athena. Shannon also spends her spare time reading, hiking, doing yard work and caring for her bunny and guinea pig.
Megan Groeters, with Dana Niguel since 2005
Megan is a receptionist at Dana Niguel Veterinary Hospital. She loves animals, and she is one of the first people to greet you and your pet when you come to see us! She is originally from New Mexico and moved to California in 2005. At home, she cares for and loves her four cats, Dupree, Kate, Owen and Luke. In her spare time, she can be found at the gym, sometimes twice a day! On the weekends she enjoys relaxing and indulging in a cheat meal with her husband.
Anna Phillips, RVT with Dana Niguel since 2012
Anna graduated from Heritage College in March 2014 after studying veterinary technology. She passed her registered veterinary technician exams the same year and received her license at the beginning of 2015. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her fiancé and daughter, hiking, camping and traveling with her Terrier mix, Tessa. Anna is a bully-breed advocate; she loves all dogs big and small, but has a special affinity for big block-headed cuties. Anna also hopes to one day make it to Alaska or Montana to attempt a homesteading lifestyle and live off the beautiful land.
Aubrey Cook, with Dana Niguel since 2015
Aubrey is a veterinary assistant at Dana Niguel Veterinary Hospital. She has always had a passion for animals; growing up, she knew her dream job was to work with and care for animals. She is a Chihuahua fanatic and is crazy about cats, too! In the future, Aubrey wants to continue her education on animals. Outside of work, Aubrey enjoys being outdoors, either at the beach or hiking. She loves to spend time with her Chihuahua, Lindy, and hopes to add to her Chihuahua family.
